The Super Bowl stage became a vibrant tribute to Puerto Rico, with a recreated sugar cane field, jíbaros, domino tables, and iconic island imagery transporting Levi’s Stadium straight to the Caribbean. Bad Bunny opened with high-energy hits like “Tití Me Preguntó” and “Yo Perreo Sola” before a roof-crashing nod to Daddy Yankee’s “Gasolina,” honoring the roots of reggaeton.

Performing proudly in Spanish, he carried a message of self-belief and cultural pride. Surprise cameos added extra sparkle — Lady Gaga during a wedding-themed moment, and Ricky Martin leading into the politically charged “El Apagón,” highlighting Puerto Rico’s ongoing struggles.

Almost entirely in Spanish, the 13-minute set was bold, joyful, and defiant, closing with a heartfelt tribute to Puerto Rico and a reminder that love triumphs over hate. A halftime performance that will be remembered as historic.
