#3: Happier Than Ever (2021)
Happier Than Ever, Billie Eilish’s second studio album, was released on July 30, 2021, by Darkroom and Interscope Records. Co-written and produced by her brother Finneas O’Connell, the album reflects Eilish’s self-reflection during the COVID-19 pandemic and shifts from the upbeat sound of her debut to a downtempo, jazz-influenced pop with meditative tempos. It explores the challenges of fame through introspective lyrics and received critical acclaim for its production and content.
At the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, the album earned seven nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and topped charts in 27 other countries, with singles like “Therefore I Am” and “My Future” achieving top ten positions on the US Billboard Hot 100.
