Artist Bio
Busted was formed in 2005, originally comprising of longtime friends Matt Willis and James Bourne and later on to solidify the group, lead singer Charlie Simpson. Despite being slow to gain attention, their self entitled debut album in 2002 eventually went on to reach number 2 on the UK chart.Â
Their successive album ‘A Present For Everyone’ in 2003, produced three smash hit number one singles including ‘Crashed the Wedding,’ ‘Who’s David’ and ‘Thunderbirds’. As well as getting Brit Award nominations for Best British Group, Best British Breakthrough Artist, and Best Pop Act.
Following the departure of lead singer Charlie Simpson in 2005, both Matt and James decided to continue with their own projects as did Charlie. It was not until 2013, where Matt and James decide to go on tour with Mcfly where they had the desire to approach Charlie about a Busted reunion, eventually releasing their Night Driver album in 2016.
However, it was with their later album ‘Halfway there’ in 2019 which had a positive reception with the hit singles ‘Radio’ and ‘Nineties’ making it into the UK top 5. Now celebrating their 20th anniversary with all their hits, Busted have gone on tour with a revamped version of their classics with guest features from the likes of Hanson, Jonas Brothers and many more.
