Artist Bio
In 1976, Depeche Mode began with keyboardists Vince Clarke and Fletcher forming ‘No Romance in China’ in Basildon, England. After a series of name changes and the addition of Martin Gore and David Gahan, the group solidified by 1980.
Their breakthrough came with the release of the chart-topping single ‘Just Can’t Get Enough,’ propelling them to success. In 1986, their album ‘Black Celebration’ achieved gold status in the United States by selling 500,000 copies and their subsequent album sold over one million copies.
Later in their career, following a four-year hiatus, their 2005 album ‘Playing The Angel’ topped the charts in 18 countries, achieving platinum and gold status in 20 markets. Their contribution to the music industry was acknowledged when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.
During the pandemic, Depeche Mode worked on their Memento Mori Album. Some tracks from this album will be featured on their 2024 World Tour, headlining at arenas in London, Manchester, and Birmingham.
