Artist Bio

Named after a line in ‘The Singing Detective’ TV series, Elbow consist of Guy Garvey, Mark Potter, Pete Turner, Craig Potter and Richard Jupp who all met during their time at Sixth Form in Bury, Manchester.

They sprung into stardom with their fourth album ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’ which earned the group a Mercury prize in 2008 and it was their album to go multi-platinum, eventually selling over one million copies. The successive year, they received a Brit Award for ‘Best British Group.

Later on in their career, their ‘Take Off and Landing Of Everything’ in 2014 was the first to debut at number one on the charts and became their highest charting album in the US. In most recent years, their Giants Of All Sizes album also reached number one on the charts and achieved silver status.

Now embarking on their first arena tour since 2021, Elbow are headlining major music venues across the UK in 2024; witness them in their prime with official Elbow VIP tickets.
