Artist Bio

Born in Wiltshire in 1974, James Blunt enrolled in an Army scholarship at university, eventually achieving the rank of Captain. However, he later dropped out in 2002 to pursue a music career.

Following a performance at a festival in Texas, he caught the attention of the singer of the 4 Non Blondes, Linda Perry, who signed him to her Custard Records label in 2003. Two years later, he released his debut album ‘Back To Bedlam’, which contained the hit single ‘You’re Beautiful’. The song hit number one on the charts in over a dozen countries and had sold over ten million copies worldwide.

James Blunt’s next album, ‘All The Lost Souls’, also saw success, topping the album charts in the UK, Canada, and Australia. In more recent years, he has collaborated with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Ryan Tedder, contributing to his 2017 album ‘The Afterlove’, which reached the top 10 position in the United Kingdom.
