Artist Bio: The Spice Girls
Early Years
The Spice Girls formed after Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Victoria Adams answered a 1993 advert looking for a new girl group. Selected from hundreds of applicants, the five quickly became housemates and began shaping their identity and sound. In 1995, they secured a record deal with Virgin Records, setting the foundation for their future success.
Rise To Stardom
In 1996, the group released their debut single “Wannabe,” which shot to number one in the UK and topped charts in around 30 countries. Their follow-up hit, “Say You’ll Be There,” paved the way for their debut album Spice, which sold over 19 million copies in its first year and firmly established them as global pop sensations.
Global Success
The release of Spiceworld in 1997 — paired with Spice World: The Movie — expanded their worldwide fame, while their final album Forever arrived in 2000 before the group parted ways to pursue solo careers. They reunited for a world tour in 2007, delivered an iconic performance at the 2012 Olympic closing ceremony, and returned again for a European tour in 2019.
Now, with rumours of a potential 30th anniversary reunion circulating — and hints from Mel B that all five members, including Posh Spice, may be involved — fans are eagerly awaiting official news. Register your interest for possible Spice Girls VIP tickets should a 2025–2026 tour be announced.
