England Squad Named for March 2026
Thomas Tuchel has made a huge statement by leaving out Trent Alexander-Arnold from his 35-man England squad, despite the defender’s strong club form. Ollie Watkins and Luke Shaw also miss out.
There are returns for Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo, and Lewis Hall, while James Garner earns a first senior call-up in a squad packed with 13 new faces from November. Even uncapped goalkeeper Jason Steele is included in a surprise “training role” ahead of the World Cup.
Up front, Harry Kane is joined by Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Dominic Solanke, with Tuchel giving fringe players a final shot in friendlies against Uruguay and Japan.
The headline move? A “unique” 35-man squad split into two camps, with 11 senior players joining later as Tuchel manages workloads and ramps up competition before the 2026 World Cup.
Goalkeepers
Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, James Trafford, Aaron Ramsdale, Jason Steele.
Defenders
Dan Burn, Marc Guehi, Lewis Hall, Ezri Konsa, Tino Livramento, Harry Maguire, Nico O’Reilly, Jarell Quansah, Djed Spence, John Stones, Fikayo Tomori.
Midfielders
Elliot Anderson, Jude Bellingham, James Garner, Jordan Henderson, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice, Morgan Rogers, Adam Wharton.
Forwards

All of them have contributed in September, October or November and have a bit of credit with me. We think that to give them a break mentally and physically will benefit us. They will come with hunger.

From Friday/Saturday, a group will come into camp who get a rest before. We will go with a new group of players into the match against Japan.
