FA Cup Quarter Finals 2025 Preview
FA Cup Quarter Finals 2025 Preview
Fulham v Crystal Palace
The Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals see Fulham host Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage in a highly anticipated all-London clash. The Whites booked their place in the last eight with a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Manchester United, showcasing their resilience under pressure. Meanwhile, Palace will be looking to continue their cup run and secure a place in the semi-finals at Wembley.
Preston North End v Aston Villa
Preston North End will host Aston Villa at Deepdale in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals, marking North End’s first appearance in the last eight since 1966 after victories over Charlton Athletic, Wycombe Wanderers, and Burnley. Villa, competing in the UEFA Champions League, have knocked out West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Cardiff City on their way to this stage.
Brighton & Hove Albion v Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest booked their place in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals after a dramatic 5-4 penalty shootout victory over Ipswich Town, following a 1-1 draw after extra time at The City Ground. George Hirst put Ipswich ahead early in the second half, but Ryan Yates equalized with a towering header to force extra time. With neither side able to find a winner in 120 minutes, Matz Sels became the hero, saving Jack Taylor’s penalty to send Forest through. They will now travel to face Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium later this month, as they continue their quest for FA Cup glory.
AFC Bournemouth v Manchester City
AFC Bournemouth will host Manchester City in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals, marking only the third time in the club’s 125-year history that the Cherries have reached the last eight of the competition. Luis Sinisterra secured their spot with the decisive penalty in a shootout victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, following a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth also overcame West Bromwich Albion and Everton in previous rounds, while City advanced with wins over Salford City, Leyton Orient, and Plymouth Argyle. The Cherries will now look to make history by upsetting the reigning Premier League champions on home soil.
