Fury v Makhmudov Press Conference
Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury will return to face Arslanbek Makhmudov on 11 April at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, his first fight since defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024.
At the launch press conference, Fury said he is back to reignite boxing, insisting he remains in his prime after an intense camp in Thailand and predicting a knockout win. He also pointed to the serious car accident involving Anthony Joshua as a key reason behind his comeback.
Promoter Frank Warren said Fury is in strong condition and targeting a third world title, potentially against Usyk again or the winner of Fabio Wardley v Daniel Dubois. Makhmudov described the fight as a dream opportunity as the pair concluded proceedings with a respectful face-off.

Why did I come back to boxing? It's a very interesting question and there's only one answer to that, and the truth of the matter is I came back for one reason only and that's to make boxing great again.
The biggest turning point in this comeback for me was a tragedy that happened with Anthony Joshua.
All my life I go for my goal… I'm looking forward to April 11 to reach my goal.
On meeting Fury as a fan years ago: it was a "signal from God that one day he would beat him."
