I Am Maximus made history at Aintree by winning a second Grand National, repeating his 2024 success and securing a third straight win for trainer Willie Mullins. Ridden with patience and precision by Paul Townend, he produced a powerful late surge to take the lead and seal victory, while owner JP McManus became the first in history to record four wins in the race.

The race once again delivered its trademark drama, with fallers, brave finishers, and thrilling moments throughout the field at Aintree. Mullins praised the team effort behind the success, calling it a “special” achievement.

Aintree once again lived up to its reputation, producing an unforgettable Grand National full of history, quality, and excitement.
