British heavyweight star Moses Itauma is set for the biggest fight of his career after his clash with Filip Hrgovic was upgraded to a vacant IBF world-title bout.

The pair will meet at The O2 Arena in London on 29 August, with Itauma looking to become the youngest heavyweight world champion since Mike Tyson. The 21-year-old has been tipped as one of boxing’s brightest future stars, having won 14 professional fights with 12 knockouts.

Hrgovic, a former Olympic bronze medallist, presents Itauma with his toughest challenge yet. The Croatian has won 20 professional bouts and is known for his power and experience at heavyweight level.

A victory could put Itauma on course for further world-title opportunities, including a potential all-British showdown against the winner of Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley at Wembley Stadium in 2027.
