Anthony Joshua produced one of the most dramatic victories of his career after recovering from two first-round knockdowns to stop Kristian Prenga in the second round in Jeddah, keeping his long-awaited blockbuster clash with Tyson Fury firmly on track.

The British heavyweight was floored just 20 seconds into the contest before being dropped again later in the opening round. However, Joshua showed remarkable resilience to fight back, unleashing a decisive barrage in round two to force a stoppage victory over the previously unbeaten Albanian.

The emotional win marked Joshua’s first professional bout since returning from the tragic car accident in Nigeria last December and extended his record to 30 wins. With contracts for a Fury showdown already signed, attention now turns to the official announcement of one of British boxing’s biggest-ever fights.
