After a turbulent period, Kanye West—now simply Ye—returns with Bully, a record that reminds us why his music has always stood out. Stripping away past controversies, he leans into the soulful samples, clever Auto-Tune, and underdog energy that first defined him.

Tracks like “Punch Drunk” nod to everyday struggles with gospel-inspired samples, while “Beauty and the Beast” and All the Love bring hopeful melodies and ’80s synth warmth. Even the shorter tracks deliver retro-Kanye moments, from Chicago shoutouts to nods to Graduation and Yeezus.

Beneath it all, Bully shows glimpses of growth and introspection through tender moments and reflective lines. It may not reinvent his legacy, but it reaffirms Ye’s talent as a producer and visionary, crafting music that still resonates. For longtime fans, it’s a comforting return to the sound we’ve always loved.
