Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo has released her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, today via Geffen.

The record marks a clear shift in direction, moving away from the bubblegum pop of her earlier work toward a more alternative, 1980s and 1990s-inspired sound. Critics note influences ranging from indie pop and post-punk to jangly alternative rock, with references to artists such as The Cure, Joy Division, and Avril Lavigne shaping the album’s tone.

The album has been described as “brilliantly catchy and beautifully bittersweet,” highlighting Rodrigo’s focus on emotional storytelling across themes of love, heartbreak, and personal growth.

Her third LP also reflects a broader artistic evolution, with reviewers praising her willingness to experiment with moodier, more guitar-led production while still maintaining strong pop hooks.

You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love is available now on major streaming platforms and fans can experience these new gems live and in style at The O2 Arena with exclusive Olivia Rodrigo VIP tickets.
