Premier League 2025-26 GW13 Review
Chelsea 1 - 1 Arsenal
Ten-man Chelsea held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw in a dramatic Premier League derby at Stamford Bridge. Despite Moises Caicedo’s red card in the 38th minute, Trevoh Chalobah’s second-half header gave Chelsea the lead, only for Mikel Merino to equalise with a Bukayo Saka cross in the 59th minute. The Gunners were unable to find a late winner, leaving them six points clear at the top, while Chelsea leapfrogged Aston Villa into third.
Upcoming Fixtures
West Ham United 0 - 2 Liverpool
Alexander Isak scored his first Premier League goal for Liverpool as the Reds ended a three-game losing streak with a 2-0 win at 10-man West Ham United. Isak, denied earlier by Alphonse Areola, calmly side-footed home on the hour, before Cody Gakpo sealed the victory in stoppage time after Lucas Paqueta was sent off for two quick yellow cards. West Ham failed to register a shot on target, leaving them 17th, while Liverpool climbed back into the top half.
Nottingham Forest 0 - 2 Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton & Hove Albion secured a 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest as Stefanos Tzimas scored his first Premier League goal to seal the victory in the 88th minute. Maxim De Cuyper had put the Seagulls ahead late in the first half, while both Matz Sels and Bart Verbruggen made key saves after the break. Forest’s five-game unbeaten run was ended, leaving them 16th, while Brighton climbed into fifth.
Aston Villa 1 - 0 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Boubacar Kamara scored a stunning long-range goal to give Aston Villa a 1-0 derby win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Despite Jorgen Strand Larsen having a goal disallowed and Wolves producing a strong second-half showing, Kamara’s strike midway through the half proved decisive. Emiliano Martinez made several key saves, including denying Yerson Mosquera, as Wolves remained winless in 13 Premier League games, eight points adrift at the bottom, while Villa climbed to fourth with 24 points.
Upcoming Fixtures
Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Manchester United
Manchester United came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park, with Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount scoring in the second half. Jean-Philippe Mateta had given Palace the lead from a retaken penalty in the 36th minute, but United responded after the interval, with Zirkzee ending a 364-day Premier League goal drought and Mount’s 20-yard free-kick sealing the win. The result moves United one point above Palace, with the sides seventh and ninth in the table.
Tottenham Hotspur 1 - 2 Fulham
Fulham secured their first ever win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, defeating Spurs 2-1 thanks to a stunning Harry Wilson goal. Kenny Tete opened the scoring after three minutes, before Wilson curled in a sensational strike to make it 2-0 inside six minutes. Mohammed Kudus pulled one back for Spurs in the 59th minute, but chances from Lucas Bergvall and Randal Kolo Muani went begging, leaving Spurs with their fourth home defeat of the season. Spurs sit 10th, while Fulham remain 15th, just a point behind.
Upcoming Fixtures
Everton 1 - 4 Newcastle United
Newcastle United ended their wait for a first away win of the Premier League season with a commanding 4-1 victory over Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Malick Thiaw opened the scoring after just 52 seconds—the fastest Premier League goal of the campaign—before Lewis Miley doubled the lead following a Jordan Pickford error. Nick Woltemade made it 3-0 by halftime, and Thiaw added a second after the hour. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall pulled one back for Everton, but the hosts drop to 14th, while Newcastle climb to 11th.
Upcoming Fixtures
Sunderland 3 - 2 Bournemouth
Sunderland staged a thrilling comeback to beat 10-man AFC Bournemouth 3-2 at the Stadium of Light, with Brian Brobbey heading in the winner 21 minutes from time. Bournemouth raced into a 2-0 lead through Amine Adli and Adams, but Enzo Le Fee’s penalty and Bertrand Traore’s equaliser set up the dramatic turnaround. Sunderland survived a late scare as Marcus Tavernier hit the crossbar, and Lewis Cook was sent off for Bournemouth in stoppage time. The win keeps Sunderland unbeaten at home and moves them into fourth, while Bournemouth drop to ninth.
Manchester City 3 - 2 Leeds United
Manchester City came from a two-goal lead to beat Leeds United 3-2 at the Etihad, with Phil Foden scoring a stoppage-time winner. City looked comfortable after goals from Foden and Josko Gvardiol, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin inspired a Leeds fightback, equalising through a rebound after a missed penalty. Foden’s late strike secured the win, moving City back into second, while Leeds remain 18th.
Upcoming Fixtures
Brentford 3 - 1 Burnley
Igor Thiago scored a late brace as Brentford came from behind to beat Burnley 3-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium. Thiago converted a spot-kick, saw a Burnley penalty briefly equalise, then volleyed to restore Brentford’s lead, before Dango Ouattara sealed the win in stoppage time. The victory moves Brentford into eighth, while Burnley remain in the bottom three.
