Stevie Nicks, the legendary Fleetwood Mac singer, is set to release her first solo album since 2011’s “In Your Dreams.” Following her emotional singles “Show Them The Way” (2020) and a cover of Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth” (2022), Nicks has written new songs during the pandemic, including a powerful track about women’s rights and another called “The Vampire’s Wife.” She plans to record this new material later this summer after her European tour, which includes a headlining show at Hyde Park in July. Nicks often pays tribute to late friends Tom Petty and Christine McVie in her performances. McVie’s passing in 2022 has led Nicks to declare that Fleetwood Mac will not reunite, emphasizing the irreplaceable role McVie played in the band. As she embarks on this new musical chapter, Nicks’ artistic vision remains as compelling as ever.
