Missing Out On Our Emails? Here’s The Fix

Each email service provider has a slightly different method for how to do this, but find your ESP and follow the quick and easy steps below to make sure you don’t miss a thing.

Microsoft Outlook: Adding Safe Senders

For 2003, 2007 and Express

With an example email address in your inbox:

  1. Open the email.
  2. In the top toolbar, click on the Safe Lists drop down menu, found under the Junk Email tab.
  3. Select Add sender to Address Book.
  4. Click OK.

Without using an example email in your inbox:

  1. Select actions from the top toolbar menu.
  2. Select Junk Email.
  3. Select Junk Email Options…
  4. Select the Safe Sender tab.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Add in the email address you’d like to add to your safe sender list (e.g. sales@hospitalitycentre.co.uk)
  7. Click OK.

To white list (approve) and entire domain:

  1. Open the email.
  2. In the top toolbar, click on the Safe Lists drop down menu, found under the Junk Email tab.
  3. Select Add Sender’s Domain (e.g hospitalitycentre.co.uk) to Safe Senders List.
  4. Click OK.

For 2003, 2007 and Express

  1. In Microsoft Outlook, visit the Home tab.
  2. Click on the Junk button.
  3. In the drop down list, select Junk Email Options.
  4. Go to the Safe Senders tab.
  5. Enter either the email address or domain name you’d like to add.
  6. Click OK.

For Express

  1. In Microsoft Outlook, visit the Tools menu.
  2. Click on the Address Book.
  3. Click New and in the drop down list, choose New Contact.
  4. Enter either the email address and add in any additional details you wish.
  5. Click OK.

Gmail: Adding Safe Senders

To make sure you receive emails into your Gmail inbox, you can add a specific email address to your contact list. If one of our emails has been moved into the spam folder, you can mark it Not Spam to whitelist it and ensure you receive these emails.

  1. Open your Gmail Inbox.
  2. Click Contacts from the selections on the left had side of the Gmail Inbox.
  3. Select Create Contact from the top menu.
  4. Enter the email address in the primary email box.
  5. Select Save.

Yahoo: Adding Safe Senders

  1. Open your Yahoo Inbox.
  2. From the top menu, click Options > Mail Options > Filters > Add Filter.
  3. Select Filters.
  4. Click Add Filters.
  5. In the top row named ‘From Header’, select Contains from the drop down menu and enter the email address you wish to add in the text box adjacent to this drop down menu. For example, you can either add a specific email address (sales@hospitalitycentre.co.uk) or whitelist the domain (hospitalitycentre.co.uk).
  6. Below, select the option Move the message to and choose Inbox from the drop down menu provided.
  7. Click the Add Filter button again.
