England #2 in IRB World Rugby Rankings!

England played a three-test series against the Wallabies in June 2016, contesting the Cook Cup, England dominated winning all three matches and collected their first Grand Slam in thirteen years.

After defeating the hosts in the second match they retained the Cook Cup, secured second and pushed the Aussies to fourth place in the IRB World Rugby Rankings. England will now go on to play four teams in the Autumn Internationals at Twickenham: South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia.

Eddie Jones has been working closely with James Haskell producing the best rugby of his career, Haskell was named as player of the series in the whitewash down under. However it’s likely he will miss the Autumn Internationals as he requires reconstructive surgery on his foot and could well be side-lined for six months.

Jones will see the players next for a three-day camp in London next month, and again briefly in September as they prepare to take on South Africa on 12th November, followed by Fiji on 19th and Argentina on 26th. England’s fourth and final autumn international of 2016 will be against Australia on 3rd December.
