Britain’s Leon Edwards will return to the Octagon on March 22, 2025, headlining UFC London at The O2 Arena. The 33-year-old former welterweight champion will face Australia’s Jack Della Maddalena, ranked fourth in the division, in a high-stakes clash that could determine the next title challenger.

This will be Edwards’ first fight since losing his title to Belal Muhammad in Manchester in July 2024. Known for his strategic prowess, Edwards will be eager to reassert himself among the division’s elite. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Maddalena, who has won his first seven UFC bouts, comes into the fight fresh off an impressive third-round stoppage of Brazil’s Gilbert Burns in March 2024.

With the welterweight title picture heating up, a victory for either Edwards or Maddalena could secure a shot at the winner of the upcoming title bout between Belal Muhammad and Shavkat Rakhmonov, scheduled for later this year.

The stacked card also features fan-favorite Molly McCann taking on Istela Nunes in a strawweight contest, while British heavyweight Mick Parkin battles Poland’s Marcin Tybura. In the women’s strawweight division, Ireland’s Shauna Bannon faces India’s Puja Tomar.
